Fall 2008 Auditions
Auditions are required for admission to these courses.
Fees per semester for lessons in 2008-09:
Class lessons (0.25 course credit): $112
Private lessons: $448/one hour lesson (0.5 course credit); $224/half-hour lesson (0.25 course credit)
* The applied lesson fee is waived for all majors in one area and for minors fulfilling their applied
music requirement. There is no fee for enrolling in an ensemble (0.5 course credit).
Sign-up sheets are posted outside the audition rooms for ensembles and private lessons, except for choral
auditions (call 684-3898) and voice lessons. (Signup outside 075 Biddle,
although auditions will be held in 058 Biddle.)
Unless otherwise noted, instrumental auditions are for Applied Lessons, Duke Symphony Orchestra, and Wind
Symphony. Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Combos, and Chamber Music auditions are listed separately.
